New Post: Install problem

OK I finally referenced everything to the right places and got the sites to build. After all of this I an surprized that first windows live no longer support this and I have a dedicated server streaming videos right now. Why would I want my data on someone elses server? Well this has been a waste of time if I cannot use my on servers for storage and streaming.

Hello,

I have visual web developer 2010 on my laptop, when I load the video.show slu file of course it converts it to run on this ver. 2010. When I select build the solution I get 5 errors.

Error 1 The referenced assembly "C:\Video.Show\Data\bin\Debug\Data.dll" was not found. If this assembly is produced by another one of your projects, please make sure to build that project before building this one. BLL

Error 1 : After extraction from the latest download there is NO files (data.dll) in the debug directory, so no wonder it was not found.

Error 3 and 4 I have added the reference everyway I know how and no luck.

Any help will be appreciated?

I do not know if you have been able to fix this problem but it looks like it is a problem with Permissions. The packaging/zipping part uses IsolatedStorage. For applications that run with Full Trust (like on your local machine with My Computer permission set ), this shouldn't be a problem. But if not, then you should know that Code Access Security limits the size available for IsolatedStorage for some permission sets. So it will work for small files but once the files become too large (larger than the limit set in IsolatedStorage Permission) then you get this problem. You can modify this IsolatedStorage limit (or totally remove it) in Code Access Security or by using command line caspol. Not that difficult, I must say.

It requires Encoder 1.0 and is totally broken on Encoder 3.0.... and there's no way I know of to obtain Encoder 1.0. Does that basically mean this application is abandoned?

Hello all,

today I was able to successfully move my videos to Azure BLOB storage and modify application to make use of this new location. It works like a charm as you can see at http://video.ordo.sk/. If there is anyone interested in an outline for modifications, I am willing to post it but no sooner then next week. I am super busy this week and must first finish some other urgent work.

I all,
I have a problem on my Windows Vista that began afetr the purchase of an external Hard Disk Freecom.
A few days afetr the purchase I disconnected it while it was writing and, since that moment, every time I connect and disconnect it, the PC go to freeze mode for 5 minutes.
The same thing happen even if the hard disk is disconnected: every time I start windows it go to freeze a little after the password, and every time I connect and disconnect a usb device.
I have looked for the solution everywhere, updated windows, unistalled and installed the hard disk from the device manager but I solved the problem only when I restored a recent backup.
Yesterday the Hard disk was writing a backup while Vista was installing the updates; at the end of the proceure windows restarted automatically and the problem began again!!!
The Pc go to freeze when it starts, every time I connect or disconnect the hard disk, an usb earphone that has always worked switch on but there is no audio and I don't know how many others usb devices will have problems.
Has anyone an idea to solve this problem before I throw out of the window Vista or the the hard disk?

I have encoder version 3 but searched long time and didn't found encoder version 1.0.

Hi, you are correct. You can only find Encoder 3 from the website. Luckily my school has a copy of Encoder 2. Hopefully the video.show team will soon support Encoder 3.

How is that a solution? Encoder 2 can't be found anywhere on Microsoft's site?

This application is completely broken by the change in Encoder 3, as far as I can tell.

Hi, I did installed AjaxControlToolkit in my Visual Studio but not for this project; I do not know whether it is a requirement as it is not stated in the Installation Guide. However, you would want to install the AjaxControlTookit and see whether it works.

Super thanks. I can make it first step now. Once I use Visual C#. to "Select Build Solution from the Build menu."

Bulid Success, however I try to run the application it shown another error in Internet Explorer

I am using Visual Studio 2008 SP1, am I correct ?

Do i need to install extra things else?
